Marley Engineered Products is proud to recognize Goodyear HVAC Sales as the recipient of the 2026 Jim Herring Memorial Silver Fox Award for its outstanding work on the Landmark Center Phase 3 project in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood.

Presented annually during Marley’s National Sales Meeting, the Silver Fox Award honors manufacturer’s representatives whose projects demonstrate technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and exceptional collaboration. The award commemorates the legacy of longtime Marley colleague Jim Herring, whose commitment to customer-focused solutions continues to inspire the organization.

Delivering an Innovative Heating Solution

Goodyear HVAC Sales earned this year’s recognition by developing a customized electric heating solution for Landmark Center Phase 3, a premier office and laboratory building.

The project called for comfortable heating of exterior patios and terrace spaces while preserving the building’s modern architectural design. Early plans identified both aesthetic and performance challenges, prompting the project team to rethink how the heating equipment would be integrated into the building.

Working closely with Marley and project stakeholders, Goodyear HVAC Sales developed a recessed infrared heating solution that met both the owner’s design vision and the project’s performance requirements.

A Complete QMark Electric Heating Solution

The final design incorporated a comprehensive package of QMark electric heating products to provide occupant comfort, precise control, and seamless architectural integration.

The installation included:

  • Recessed infrared heaters
  • Wall heaters
  • Cabinet heaters
  • Unit heaters
  • Custom SCR control panels

In total, the project featured 146 recessed infrared heaters and 33 Thermazone phase-angle SSR control panels, providing modulating heat output for improved comfort and energy control.

One of the project’s most significant accomplishments was the rapid adaptation of existing infrared heater units into a recessed configuration. This innovative approach allowed the equipment to blend cleanly into soffits and patio areas while maintaining the building’s intended architectural appearance.

Collaboration Drives Success

The Landmark Center Phase 3 project highlights the value of early collaboration between Marley, its manufacturer’s representative, engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.

By combining engineering expertise with product flexibility, the team developed a tailored solution that satisfied demanding design requirements without compromising heating performance or occupant comfort.

This project serves as an excellent example of how customized electric heating solutions can successfully support today’s sophisticated commercial office and laboratory environments.
