History

Based in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Marley Engineered Products draws upon a long history of providing reliable heating and ventilation solutions.

A Foundation in Heating and Cooling

Our expertise in thermal engineering goes back to 1922 with the inception of the Power Plant Equipment Company. That company, which specialized in industrial cooling towers and other thermal equipment, became the Marley Company in 1926. It was later joined by Recold, another thermal technologies company founded in 1932 in Brea, California.

Together, these companies invented and patented a number of the industrial heating and cooling technologies in use today.

The Marley Company Goes Electric

In 1981, a series of acquisitions of quality heating and ventilation brands led Marley to enter the electric heating business. In 1987, the company consolidated the production of many of its brands in Bennettsville, South Carolina, including Berko®, QMark® and Fahrenheat®. The result was the creation of Marley Electric Heating.

Following the addition of Marley Industrial Products®, formerly Patton Building Products, the company was renamed Marley Engineered Products.
